Photograd Print Submissions - the results!

Late in November we launched Festive Cheer where we called for images from photography graduates with the chance of having a print sent to someone on our mailing list this Christmas. The submissions we received were fantastic and it was a really tough judging process deciding which to print. But we did it! Here are the results!

The above 12 images have been printed and packaged at the cost of Photograd and sent to the likes of Spectrum, Lens Think Yorkshire, #PHOTOGRAPHY Magazine, and Francesca Maffeo Gallery.

We will also include some special mentions in our upcoming newsletter.

Photograd Print Submissions!

🔊 We like to send out charity Christmas cards here at Photograd when things start getting festive. We of course really appreciate those who support us throughout the year and we think it's only fair we give recognition and a little thanks. 🎄

We have both a physical and online mailing list we add to all the time and this year we'd like to post some of our favourite people something a bit more special - a print from a photography graduate!

All you need to do to take part is:

1. Be a photography graduate who studied in the UK.

2. Be happy for us to print a small image of yours to be posted to our mailing list.

3. Email a file, alongside series title, university you studied at and graduation year, to photogradsub@gmail.com with the subject title "festive cheer".

Deadline midnight 10th December.

GOOD LUCK 🍀

A small selection of images will be printed and posted to our friends, and others may be selected and used (and credited of course) in one of our upcoming newsletters. We are happy to cover costs this time, but please do consider a donation to keep Photograd on its feet.

Lens Think Yorkshire: Sheffield Christmas Social

Thursday 30th November - 6:30pm

A social to support creative talent in Yorkshire

L E N S T H I N K Y O R K S H I R E

Thursday November 30th will see the last social of 2017 for Lens Think Yorkshire, a bi-monthly social in Yorkshire to meet, share work, ideas, & develop photography in the North. The night will be a festive themed meet up, with talks by a trio of talent: Al Brydon, Chelsea Abbot & Darren O’Brien. There will also be a chance to join in with a festive print swap (wrapping optional).

The night takes place at Hagglers Corner, Sheffield – and you’re invited to come and take a look. This is the last of our 2017 events; so come and celebrate the very first year of Lens Think.

Not only that but it’s nearly the C word . . .Christmas. So the night will be a bit of festive fun to celebrate our three events and the founding of Lens Think in 2017. Think a bit of peer reviewing, a bit of photography, a bit of celebrating and lots of meeting creative from around the region. Everyone is invited and welcome! Put a Christmas jumper on, come have a drink and get ready to hear three talented speakers talk about how they make it work.
