Artist Statement: My work explores the collateral damage of domestic violence. In my recent work How Do You Know The Fish’s Feeling If You Are Not A Fish is made in 3 parts.

Part1 recreates a childhood memory of domestic violence, using photographic print and paint to explore anxiety and stress. Part 2 is about how to forgive and my misunderstanding with concept. I am exploring how to forgive an action that has caused me so much fear. Part 3 is a film about the world I escaped to. In my work I am looking for calmness, but I can never get there, like a joke, the spirit. I am a product of domestic violence.

“I” is shaped like me, I have such a spiritual world, this is what experience has taught me. My worldview has been formed through domestic violence.
